The end of a year is always an important time to reflect on the past and look forward to the future. And for a year as unique as this, there’s been so much to process. Antonia, Head of Brand for Aurelia, shares her thoughts on the year no one saw coming… 

It’s safe to say that 2020 has probably been one of the strangest and most difficult periods we’ve had to face in recent history with every single one of us being affected in one way or another by the coronavirus pandemic. As we celebrated the New Year back in January, none of us could have imagined that our ways of life would be so different just a year later. A reality that now includes lockdowns, countless Zoom calls, banana bread making, social distancing and face coverings. 

But even in the most challenging times there have been inspiring moments of light and positivity. It’s been truly moving to see the efforts made by our amazing key workers in the UK, the resilience and passion that has been so integral to us getting through this year and the support that the nation has shown in trying to beat the virus. Now, with our hopes pinned on the vaccine alleviating some of the strictest measures we are under, we can start to look forward to the idea of a sense of normality potentially returning next year.

We wanted to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to our new and loyal customers alike and to our amazing fulfilment centre for keeping your deliveries coming against the odds. We know how hard this pandemic has been for so many and we hope you all have a safe and healthy Christmas.
