THE LOOKS WE LOVED FROM FASHION WEEK AW19

It’s that time of year again! When London is awash with the fashion-set, and we get to ogle at next season’s offerings from some of the top designers in the world. It’s always such a treat to see what styles will grace the catwalk but, for us, beauty is the star of the show. With top makeup artists creating some inspired looks, we picked some of our favourites from AW19.

We loved the perfectly dewy skin and subtly lined eyes as seen at Brandon Maxwell. Fluttery lashes keep the look feminine and simply groomed brows help to frame the face. The soft gloss on the lips pulls the look together for  covetable, cool-girl style.

Tom Ford’s models were given a warm smokey eye, now synonymous with the brand’s decadent makeup range. Diffused browns and reds offset the models’ autumnal attire and winter fabrics. The skin was kept simple, with a light, dewy, healthy sheen to keep the eyes the main focus.

Models at Simone Rocha wore a statement, deep plum lip, perfectly tamed and defined brows and fresh, bare skin. We love the drama this creates, with references drawn from the 1920s modernised to perfection.

Alexa Chung’s models were given a natural look, with a subtle taupe enhancement to define the eye, with a soft pink-nude lip to keep the makeup light and fresh. We love how skin is the focus, with a natural dewiness perfectly complementing the pared back hair and relaxed style.

Models at Michael Kors were given a bold glamorous eye, highlighted with a flash of gold on the inner corners, with a deep brown elongating the natural eye shape. Skin was flawless, dewy and left quite bare, to add more drama to the eye makeup.

Emilia Wickstead’s models could have been plucked from a renaissance painting. With flawless skin and little to no makeup, the look made the glorious clothes take centre stage. We love the way the model’s hair colour works with the beautiful green of this dress too!
