WORRIED ABOUT YOUR PORES?

Pores and even skin are the hot topic this season, with a surge in beauty products claiming to help rid you of every woe related to them! But what has caused this rise in worry about pores? Social media is a driving influence, with Instagram’s perfected, filtered, flawless and pore-less images being hugely to blame. If large, open or clogged pores are an issue of yours then don’t worry, there are steps you can take to reduce the visibility of large pores and ensure your skin looks smoother.

But be aware that they will never completely disappear as they are part of the natural structure of your skin! Some helpful measures include exfoliating regularly to buff away dead skin with the Refine & Polish Miracle Balm. Follow with firming, balancing skincare products like the Revitalise & Glow Serum to strengthen your skin and individual pore walls. Another fantastic way to help minimise the look of pores is to use The Probiotic Concentrate as part of your daily routine. Mix with your chosen skincare once a day for smooth, glowing and perfected skin.

In terms of your general beauty routine, always avoid mineral oil (paraffinum liquidum) which can clog pores causing blackheads or breakouts and appears in many products (but none from Aurelia Probiotic Skincare!). Our products have also been designed to prevent pore clogging and are all non-comedogenic. We completely avoid heavy or clogging oils like mineral oils or silicones. Silicones are synthetically-derived chemicals that are occlusive so they suffocate the skin and trap your skincare’s ingredients, preventing them from being absorbed into the skin. Silicones make products feel very smooth and slippery and are often used in primers even though they are not at all good for your skin. They are used in the majority of moisturisers and serums on the market (look for ‘dimethicone’ or ‘methicone’ in ingredients lists) and in most of the pore minimising products that fill and smooth the skin, but can cause more damage in the long run!
